Bug: the quality level of your post is a little low, I decline to continue with the discussion at that level. If you want to post good analysis and supporting evidence then..

Personally I don;t give much credence to Fleck's analysis.

FWIW I have traded NVLS long and short for quite a while now. In fact yesterday I bought back calls I had sold..For the current cycle I went long during the last carnage when I bought at 25..yes I could have bought lower than that but nobody is perfect..(at that time Fleck was announcing the end of the world and I was buying) I have been selling out of the money covered calls (iterate over and over) ever since..and I have traded NVLS before using a similar technique..I could be wrong (not again!) but I think that the economies in Asia and LATAM are recovering and NVLS will do just fine, thank you.

IMHO trade deficits by themselves mean nothing. They have to be understood in a bigger context. What purpose trade deficits are playing in our economy right now ? Do they make our currency weaker? help us to keep inflation under check? help the world economy? Is it a sign of weakness or strength? Why was our trade deficit bigger than expected? Seasonal adjustment? Special items were not sold? If the world economy picks up is...etc etc. It is not the numbers but the reasons and the interpretation of what they mean.

Good luck with your puts!
