LindyBill, you recognize a winner and pull the trigger quicker than anyone I've ever known. Amen to that. Gotta respect the conviction. Since we've all been concerned that QCOM has an unusually low profit margin for a gorilla, did anyone calculate the pro forma margin? Tee hee. Already up to 11%. Still not the stuff of a typical gorilla, but one heck of a lot better than 3%. (I had no idea the infrastructure biz was such a drain on the company's profits.) I haven't listened to the conference call, but I couldn't help noticing the press release in which the CEO said the quarter's news was "pivotal ... in the company's 14-year history." For all the people, especially Frank, who have been nice enough to thank me for posting my research, the one and only thing I'll take credit for is letting everyone know in this thread about the importance of the Ericsson deal the day it was announced. There is no question in my mind that the news of that day will be remembered 14 years from now when the company will be twice as old as it is today. This might be the kind of news an investor gets once in a life time about an emerging gorilla frollicking in a world-wide consumer market. When the CEO says the news is "pivotal," that is an understatement of immense proportions. (I'm not hyping the stock, just underscoring my belief about the importance of the news in the context of watching emerging gorillas and tornados.) Equally important, maybe more so, is the 32% quarterly growth rate of the adoption of CDMA. I'm embarrassed that I don't remember who pointed us toward the web page with that info. If I were the host of the Oorilla Olympics I would proudly proclaim, "Let the tornado begin!" -Mike Buckley
