realnetworks Real Broadcast network will broadcast the first live audio/video internet auction on 4/25.... seems like amazon got trumped, but rnwk stepped up to the plate my money bets that amzn announces similar deals in the next 30 days, followed by the rest of them....this gets us to 300 before the end of the quarter.

Don't tell microsoft, but this battle is being won while msft is drawing up their war strategy.....real has been out in the fields winning deals faster than the media can keep up with....some stories that didn't even get posted to dow jones wire services in the last 24 hours were......1)lycos starts an audio/video channel exclusively using realnetworks software.....2)ap news service will begin outfitting broadcasters with the ability to report in realplayer format....To me these seem to be very big deals, now they don't even make news...an absolute indication of their success.... My big bold prediction that anyone can bookmark and throw at me later....By Jan of 2001 this will be a split adjusted price of 1000. that is only 20 months from now, but if true, will make a lot of us very wealthy( or in some cases, wealthier)
