Mr. Barrett--- If I thought that the iniquity of this action were as obvious as you, perhaps we could have a meeting of minds. As it stands, I think that the humanitarian rationale suffices, and in addition the countries of Europe, and by implication the United States, had to worry about the looming probability of a refugee crisis, and the potential for two NATO members getting drawn in. When the matter is subject to debate, ordinarily one's own side gets the benefit of the doubt...
