I'm trying not to be contentious here, but you continually harp about what features are supported by the 36170 cards. Thats great. You then ridiculed (probably too strong a word) the GX250, and I don't think you understand what it is. The press release noted services available on it that NN currently supports, but that is not the basic architecture of the device. As I mentioned its intent is to aggregate low speed (DS3) lines into a higher speed switch. This is the physically scalable architecture that carriers want.

All the leading vendors of WAN switches deliver decent enough products where some excel in certain areas that others don't. This is usually a result of development for particular markets during the lifetime of the product. Some features are never done, some are never deployed and some see minimal deployment.

There are some respondents on these threads that I never read. I do read yours. There is usually content worth reading. However I do get annoyed with the constant listing of the 36170 features. Just my editorial comment.
