The missing $400 million was approximately offset by a one time gain on sale of investments.

More importantly, PC OEM sales to companies who pre-install Microsoft operating systems were up 29%. Windows NT 4.0 was installed on 25% of those machines, up from 22% in a strong December quarter.

Marq:This was already mentioned in the last earnings report if I am not mistaken.It is good to know $400 mil is 'in the bank' and should show up next time around I think.

Was at Comdex today.
Wow...what a BIG Microsoft presence.
Dell was basically a table with a server next to it in the Microsoft section.
