As I understand it, most of the broadcasters who have begun interactive digital services are mystified to discover that nearly all their customers use PCs to access their programming. Surprise, surprise! And this is before most PCs have full motion video capabilities. Broadcast TV is a dog technology; the only reason any body is interested in it is that politicians are always the dog's best friend. Politicians will do almost anything, including tacit nationalization, to perpetuate their smelly playpen.
