Good afternoon Ari!

I too have been preoccupied with the Bid.Com action. I also feel, as you do, that ANC is a long term hold. I bought in at 14 cents, and I could have sold (or as Paul refers to it as Dumping) at 30 cents but I didn't. I can assure you that I hold a significant position in this company. I am not concerned in that I fully expect to rewarded for my investment.

I have to apologize that I have not provided a briefing of my last trip to Toronto. I showed up at the Angoss office unannounced, and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to meet with Lon Vining last week. He is the company's VP of Finance, and their CFO. I mentioned to him that I was an interested shareholder who had a series of questions that I wanted answers to. By the way, Mr. Vining was very professional in providing me with the answers to the many questions I had. I left the meeting with a good feeling about the direction that the company was headed.

Mr. Vining mentioned that their company's expenses were being well controlled now. They seem to have leveled off, and the revenue they take in now will/should be above the expense line from now on. They will continue to fluctuate in the near term, and they are encouraged with what may transpire throughout the rest of the year.

When I asked him through a follow up Email to clarify the Whitecross arrangement, he replied that . . . "the Whitecross deal yet again re-enforces the strategic importance of the STUDIO design and under lying architecture in that our product will run on the desktop right up and through the in-place option. It provides excellent performance and can be customized for enterprise deployment".

He also expressed some frustration with the fact that many decision makers within large organizations do not yet understand the value of Data Mining. I agree strongly with him here. We discussed the impact that the mobilization companies are making to prepare for Y2K will have on their business. He mentioned that with everyone having to modify their systems, many of them are also getting in and cleaning up their data files. Why this is important is that once an organization goes through this exercise, they will/should be ready for Data Mining. This is because Data Mining is completely dependant upon clean and accurate data. This data clean up will most likely provide companies with a much better understanding of the information treasure chest they have at their finger tips.

We also discussed how Amazon.Com is leveraging their growth based on the data they have collected and analyzed. As a result, we may need more stories like this to come out before the rest of the pack wakes up and starts to fully appreciate what they have, and the huge competitive advantage that Data Mining can provide them.

When this happens, then Angoss will be prepared. I asked Lon if the following summary was close, and he said yes.

1997 was a year where they tried to take the market by storm with one product. Even though the product was very well received, sales did not materialize as they were ahead of the wave of understanding in the market.

So, they spent 1998 basically locked up in a room working on new products. This meant that when the market was finally ready for them, they would be too!

Now we are in 1999 . . . Angoss has a good suite of products ready, with more under construction. It is also interesting to note that markets are just starting to wake up to the value of their data. Each day, more companies are explaining how their success can be linked to their understanding of the market and their customers' needs. They are leveraging their information are being being rewarded for it. I believe that it won't be long before the light bulbs go off for the rest of the industry, and they will be actively looking for solutions in this area.

Angoss's products have a definite price advantage, and their new products will provide them with a foot in the door into a HUGE new area where users can access data from their already installed applications.

So, in summary, I like this industry, I like the client list that Angoss is building, and I really like what I see as coming down the pipe.

I am eagerly awaiting the feedback from the AGM today. I see this as a long term hold, and I do not expect to sell any shares.
