There is much more to the story- A customer gave the tickets to all the waitresses- they each got one, and they all agreed to SHARE them. Until this gal won, of course. Then that sharing agreement broke down a bit. Generally these kinds of agreements should be in writing - but I suspect that there was a lot of evidence of the agreement (apprently scads of corroborating witnesses)
