I concur. That is why I bought more ATHM/XCIT yesterday.

Exactly!!
I've been following AOL and Steve Case since BEFORE AOL went public. At that time AOL was known as Qlink and ran on a Commodore 64. Case is far from stupid or an idiot but, IMHO, he now knows he should have struck a deal with ATHM instead of snubbing them at the outset.

Case will have his broadband with ADSL and if he gets his way with congress (which I doubt) he'll ALSO have it with cable. So he lost nothing in the attempt. BUT, what this shows us is that ATHM must be doing something right to have Case this concerned and worried. I think eventually AOL will strike some kind of deal with ATHM and then we'll REALLY skyrocket because ATHM will be more in the drivers seat so the terms will be more favorable to ATHM.

Not getting a deal with ATHM early on was one of the very few mistakes Steve Case made with AOL, but this one will cost him plenty.
