Lg: << For one thing bulls and bears alike do their buying based on their analysis that the timing is optimum when they buy a stock.>> I am defending both sides with my post. And mind you that I have turned bearish a week ago. I works on both side, do you know?

<<< Let me answer your rambling post by saying if one infers that investors were discouraged from buying during a rise by bearish post, then it is fair game to imply that investors were encourage to buy into a top by bullish post.>>>

What about the investor who is encouraged to sell short because of a bearish post at the bottom of a downturn. Would you feel guilty if someone did that on your account? I would say not. Why should any of us feel guilty because an investor did the wrong thing because he didn't do his homework? This is common sense. And about all we can do is to offer to this thread what we truly believe. Else there would not be any MDA thread.

Regards,

Jaime

LG,

I just wanted to add one more thing to our discussion of the E-mails that you received. I think we would both agree that it's regrettable that some have lost money. I know from my own experiences early on that I learned much more about myself and this crazy racket from my losses than any gain up to that time. What bothers me about your post is that it comes on the heels of a major market advance. Your post failed to consider the opposite side of the coin. Let me ask you how much money may have been lost by shorting this market when not too long ago the predominate opinion on this thread was very bearish. Many were calling for a breakdown in prices. So not only did many lose out on a signficant advance but more importantly money was lost by positions that were against the direction in which prices broke.

So I do think you are off base by implying many have lost money by betting on the bullish side during the month April.

Just my opinion.
