I haven't seen any SDLI contracts recently. In fact, I've never seen their name linked to Tyco. I put them together merely because I know they supply the largest fiber optic submarine integrator in the world and figured that had to be Tyco.

Earnings come out on the 27th and I hope someone asks about their major contracts. If they can't give company names, perhaps they'll mention names of projects.

IXC to Deploy OC-192 Ciena DWDM
As part of an initial $25 million order, Ciena Corp. (Linthicum, MD) is shipping its MultiWave dense wavelength division multiplexing equipment (DWDM) to IXC Communications Inc. (Austin, TX) for the carrier's Portland-to-Las Vegas fiber route. IXC will be the first carrier to deploy at OC-192 transmission rates, according to Ciena.
