Childhood will never be the same...... Schools might become real institutions with metal detectors, walls with barb wire, on campus security. Unfortunately, America is land of the free in more ways than one. Jane

A family friend is a student there. He is 17. We have known him since he was 6. He hid under a desk. He is alive tonite. I graduated from Littleton High and worked on Columbine High School when it was built in the late 70's. Very affluent white collar neighborhood from John Mansville and Martin Marietta executives. Kids all drive BMW's and the parents just let them do what they do. We let kids grow up without arming them with emotions. Set them in front of television with hundreds of deaths every day in stark non-reality. Death is easy on TV and movies. This is pathetic, senseless and is based in pure evil. Faith is the only thing I feel can find an answer to this perverse twist our society is on. It looks like it will get worse before it gets better. I am not very hopeful tonite. I feel under siege.
