someone posted just the opposite yesterday...that the rumor was that amzn would beat the #s and split 3:1...but no references were given. anyone posting "rumors" please post your references as well. thanks, GR

The company guided analysts to only modest growth in sales this quarter. I think they will be able to report numbers that look good compared to those modest expectations. However, investors might be expecting much better results. Of course, Amazon will have DrugStore.com and other entities to report and they will show a large increase in registered customers with those thrown in. I wonder if they will cross reference to weed out duplicate customers between the various sites? Anyway, I don't expect bad numbers, probably they will be better than analysts expect - that's typical of Amazon - lower expectations and then do better. That applies to earnings (losses) as well.
