Twick, big growth in daytrading and helo-pads on customers lawns are an extreme contrary indicator.

Small money does not move the market, big money does.

Merrill Lynch is a much better indicator here, which made a lower high and has reversed big here as the Dow is making new highs.

People are selling poor performing mutual funds to open nutz broker accounts to buy NUTz! at zee topps!

mutual fund underperformance is also a signature of topps, where fundies start focusing their money in the narrowing leadership at the pimple top to try to catch up.

liquidity is suspect, in 1997 we could get the whole market to peak in October before the correction, now there is only enough liquidity to get a few sectors to peak at different times and then they rotate to the next hot sector.
