StockOperator: . Do you see a market decline from these levels? How much of this recent gained will be retraced? Do you believe the top is in already in? Well, I expected a topping out process during the first two weeks in April. I believe that a staggered topping process did happen during that time frame with the Dow coming in a little late. Is this "the" top. I do not know. I only know that I expected a correction at these levels after a rise out of the bullish falling wedge of the DJI, etc and after the pullback from the straight up rise of the COMPX off the Oct 98 low. The rise took place and the correction has begun. In some stocks it has already been severe. I am expecting some further decline. In response to your earlier post about reminding readers of this thread that a suggestion that a particular Indice will go up or down almost never includes all stocks in that Indice. So, unless someone is trading the Indice, stock picking is part of the process and obvious the responsibility of the investor.
