I just saw the most chilling thing on the news. They were interviewing a student from Columbine HS. He was a friend of the shooters, casual, I gather. He was emotional. The interviewer asked him what he had thought when his friends did this. He answered (approximately, but close), "I thought, You really did it, you finally did something, it will live in the hearts and minds of the school forever."
