All, This is great news for us. I sure didn't want to lose Zander to CPQ, HWP or anyone else.

Sun Microsystems names Zander
president

PALO ALTO, Calif., April 21 (Reuters) - Sun Microsystems Inc.
said Wednesday it named chief operating officer Edward Zander
to the additional title of president, assuming that role from Sun
head Scott McNealy.

Zander, who has been chief operating officer of the computer company since January 1998, assumes
the new post from McNealy, who retains the titles of chairman and chief executive officer.

Sun said the new position expands Zander's role at the company. Zander is responsible for Sun's
seven product divisions and his responsibilities include engineering and product development, sales,
service, and marketing.

No effective date for the move was given.
