AR, Merck is an odd case. It is a truly great co. As a stock, it is selling at 35 times and growing earnings at 15%. Also, the pipeline looks a bit puny here and I think all drug stocks have more risk than potential right now. Something has to be done to reign in expensive drug prices and whatever it is will not be positive.

So, I love Merck and if he is holding for 20 years, it will beat a T-Bond. If he needs the money in five years or less, I would sell.
