3dfx video cards (Voodoo 1,2,3, Voodoo Rush and Banshee) are the only cards that support Glide. Glide is a API that 3dfx created themselves for their cards. Their are glide wrappers that emulate it for other cards, but these are of questionable legality and they certainly don't work as well.
