I have also been told by the company that GMR will not increase TSA usage. -Z

No, you're not mistaken. Wider spread use of GMR will raise demand for better interconnects, but my point was that currently MR has proven great need for TSA. If RDRT customers were at the higher end, they would probably demand TSA whether they buying GMR or not.

RDRT is mostly a mid to low end supplier reliant on the desktop. TSA is going into the higher end; note book, enterprise drives, and high end desk top. TSA is a costly solution that is filling demand from the top down.
