Big difference! I think a lot of people have been mislead by this often-heard statement. Although I buy them rarely, I've never lost money on an option/leap.

KHS: It is a zero sum game until you figure in brokerage commissions. Something to consider when your broker calls recommending either a purchase or sale. Regards.

Could the call options be a hedge for the short-sellers in case they're wrong this time?
