Don, whether this is a setup, we'll only find out afterwards,unfortunately. but i don't think so. as long as bearishness is in fashion, the market should go higher. don't forget that the market has trended higher in the face of a lot of unsettling news, starting with the impeachment process up to the kosovo situation. this is the hallmark of every true bull market: to climb a wall of worry. of course, something *will* come to trip it up, something completely unexpected most likely. but i think before that happens, complacency will show up in all sorts of measures...watch out for those magazine covers depicting a charging bull.

donald and All: For those of you that view trend lines with some significance...

Looking at the 30-minute bars, one will note a support trend line (along the lows) of the DJI from April 1st, that was not violated until the dramatic reversal by the Dow 30 on the 19th. Extend that trend line to the right, it has offered resistance to today's DJI rise.
