Barring yesterday, the two previous days had 'all buyers' or 'all sellers' periods. Today is following the same pattern. Intradays look good but have weakened a tad. Interesting that MSFT, the supposed linchpin of any market move is down for the day ... shadows of yesterdays close ...

I can only suppose this reflects to wildly different views on the market. The internuts are up big ... so we know where some of the buying is coming from !!.

Setup - IMO. Relatively low volume (at least on the stocks I'm tracking) - trying to bring in the "Buy on the Dip" crowd. When MSFT is down on fair earnings report, when funds like Magellan have been rotating out of tech stocks, when a company like Tribune Co. hedge their AOL investment, when Yahoo hardly budges on positive earnings report, etc. - to me these are signs of an exhausted bull market.

donald and all: For those of you that view trend lines with some significance...

Looking at the 30-minute bars, one will note a resistance trend line (along the highs) of the NDX from April 13th that has offered resistance to today's rise in the NDX.
