Headline: ICANN Accredits NameSecure.com as Registrar And Network Solutions
Competitor in .COM

======================================================================
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 21, 1999--NameSecure.com,
a California-based domain name registration and website/email
forwarding company, today announced its inclusion among the first
group of companies to receive official accreditation by ICANN (The
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) to act as
registrar and direct competitor to Network Solutions (NASDAQ:NSOL) in
the registration of .com, .net, and .org domain names on the Internet.
"NameSecure.com has since 1995 registered through Network
Solutions more domain names than any other non-webhosting company on
the Internet besides Network Solutions themselves," explained
NameSecure.com's Chief Executive Officer, Cyndi Girgis. "We're
tremendously excited to be chosen as one of the first companies to
bring competition to what has until now been a Network Solutions
monopoly."
"Many people already know about NameSecure.com through our
partnerships and affiliations with many of the leading Internet
community and e-commerce sites," Girgis continued. "We now have a
great opportunity to raise our visibility among all Internet users and
to finally offer our customers one company to deal with instead of
two."
NameSecure.com will enter into an accreditation agreement as soon
as possible with ICANN and expects to begin acting as a .com, .net,
and .org registrar immediately upon the conclusion of a 60-day
"testbed phase" currently scheduled to end on July 9, 1999.

About NameSecure.com

NameSecure.com originated, and was the first domain name
registration company to offer "website forwarding," a service that
allows any company or individual to have and use their own domain name
without the additional monthly expense of a separate "domain name
account." NameSecure.com's unique business model (the company does not
compete for webhosting business) has led the company to partnerships
and associations with many leading Internet community and e-commerce
sites including among others, GeoCities (NASDAQ:GCTY), iCat, the
Lycos Network (includes Lycos, Tripod, Angelfire, WhoWhere, and
MailCity) (NASDAQ:LCOS), Netopia (NASDAQ:NTPA), and XOOM.com
(NASDAQ:XMCM).
