so dimwit; do you want to learn something or do you just want to twist my words and statements to try and make a point?? Newsflash!!! Twisting my statements isn't going to make you right and it sure as hell isn't going to make you money. 1. <<How committed is TV Guide to signing a deal with Source Media? "Very," says Peter Boylan, president of TV Guide. "We are very excited about a joint venture with Source Media. Source Media gives us one more way to reach the widest possible market." One MORE way? B-but, you just said the SRCM JV was the only way! How can this be???>> I stand by that statement. Yes SRCM is one more way to reach the widest possible market. YES there will be other ways and technologies which will be important and profitable. What I said was that everything that is digital interactive which INCLUDES SRCM will be run out of the JV. That is why TV Guide got such a good price from SRCM. SRCM, by way of this JV will be making money from ALL the digital interactive products, not just it's own technology. Comprende?? One more time for the learning impaired... The JV with SRCM will be marketing ALL of the digital interactive services of TV Guide. SRCM technology will be part of the service, not all, yet they will be sharing in the revenue of all. GOT IT YET??? 2. <<the "local ads" you refer to have nothing to do with the JV if you can't understand the advertising possibilities to sell local advertising Disagreeing with yourself again, mugwump? Let us know when you work out which half of you is right.>> Again kev, all it takes is the ability to read and a minimal amount of intelligence. I said the local advertising had nothing to do with the JV and it doesn't. The local ads are going to be the business of the "old" srcm or whats left after SRCM contributes the intellectual property for the Interactive Channel and the Virtual Modem to the JV. I also said that this remaining business is going to be very big on it's own and if you don't understand that it's your problem. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink is the saying. 3.<<You know if you'ld just shut up and listen you might learn something. SRCM sold down to 15$ a couple of months ago. I SAID I paid 15$ at that time. Because you knew SRCM would have to pump the stock back up to keep the deal from falling apart.>> If you really believe that a JV could fall apart because SRCM's stock price fell to 15$ then you are even dumber than I thought and I already thought you were very dumb. 4. <<Yes, another variation on "short-term fluctuations in the share price prove me right". So how much are you taking profits on here, or are you going to take the fifth on that for now to avoid setting a baaa-aaaad example for your flock?>> Actually I somewhat agree with this point. Short term price flucuations no more prove the long side then they do the short side. It does work both ways, remember that. However , consider the long term price movements. Start back to last July when the shorts circled this stock after the buyout rumors and sent the sock down to the 4$ level. Since then it's been a nice slow steady climb back to where it is despite the efforts of the shorts. If you had any brains that should worry you, kev. That and the fact that all the big point moves up came on big volume while the down days came with less than average volume. I'm sure you saw the 13d filed the other day on SRCM by Tudor Investments. They now control about 1 million shares of SRCM. They also have a big position in TV Guide. Are they pumping and dumping too?? OR do they know something you don't?? 5.<<You thought the JV was to sell local advertising!!!! Geez!! So the "advertising possibilites to to sell local advertising" aren't so great after all. Thanks for clearing that up.>> I think I "cleared " this up for you before but I'll do it again. The possibilities to sell local advertising are tremendous, they just are NOT part of the JV. That remains with the "old" Source Media. OK Kev. I'm done sparring with you. You clearly don't have a clue and I'm done trying to show you the way. One final piece of advice.. Go home and look in the mirror. Ask yourself how much you really know about this JV. If the answer is not much, then be a good boy and keep your mouth shut until you know more. If on the other hand you are prepared to dissect and explain the JV then I'll be happy to listen.
