Here's some old news, but a good tidbit of info:

Moto Stakes Claim In TV 'Net Co.

Motorola Inc. last week made an undisclosed equity investment in WorldGate Communications Inc., Trevose, Pa., as part of an $11 million funding package with four other partners supporting the TV Internet access firm. Motorola's Multimedia Group, Arlington Heights, Ill., sees WorldGate's TV convergence system as a new customer for high-speed modem and Internet surfing components. The other investors in WorldGate include Citicorp; two investment firms, Advent International and Needham & Co.; and a private investor, Alan Geery, founder of Cablevision.-J.R.
