W Molloy,

Don't get me wrong, I love Tero's contributions to all of the wireless threads. I especially enjoyed when he would go head to head with Greg Powers. I do however wish that Tero was more objective about QCOM. It doesn't matter how great the companies achievements Tero has nothing positive to say.

>>Now it is obvious that Ericy had little to no essential IPR for any CDMA and will be paying royalties to the Q.<<

If you need to be illuminated about this FACT you have not been following this deal closely. The only CDMA royalties that ERICY receives for CDMA is a very small amount from QCOM on handsets Q manufactures. No other licensees pay ERICY any royalties and there are no pass through royalties to ERICY. Obviously I cannot tell you the extent of royalties that ERICY will pay to Q as the rate is not public information, but it was made very clear that the royalty flow would be substantially from ERICY to Q.

My problem with Tero on this issue is that he never has acknowledged that Q has the vast majority of essential IPR for all forms of CDMA.
