Carnegie International Comments on Trading Halt

BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 1999--Carnegie International (AMEX:
CGY - news) confirmed that trading in its stock was halted on Friday, April 30. The American Stock Exchange had previously announced this trading halt with the company.

In the course of its review of the annual report, the SEC has commented on the recognition of revenue from one transaction and the company is endeavoring to provide the information needed for resolution. We appreciate the patience of our shareholders.
