You're still missing my point. All this talk about "this kind of thing just doesn't happen here" shows how completely out of touch people are with what our culture is really saying. For example, last night Clinton said in his remarks to the nation that "we need to teach our children how to resolve conflicts with words, not weapons.....I heard him say this morning that we as parents should "shield our children from violent images".....Now I'm not sure exactly what idyllic island we parents should cart our families off to in order to achieve this, but imagine, that for the past month our children have been subjected to a brutal bombing campaign on the evening news, seeing played out in excruciating detail how WE are using weapons, not words to achieve our goals. Our children more and more have been desensitized to violence and we wonder how can this be? Well excuse me, when we send a war machine to achieve our political goals, we demonstrate by example that violence IS the way to resolve conflicts and to appeared "stunned" that our children are following our example is complete hypocrisy.
