I agree that if some external event (other than day trading) changes the outlook enough to exceed the usual range, it will probably be impressive enough to go much higher.

I think you did really well with the last buy stops on both yhoo and amzn.

But these events are so infrequent, we'd die of boredom waiting for them So for us trading addicts, we must have our daily fix. Besides, just because a buy stop hits, it does not mean permanent new range. Look at yhoo chart. It looks very much in a down trend.
