My Nightmare with E-Trade(if anyone cares)

I sent a $5,000 check along with the application on 3-15.

I called customer service on 4-5 inquiring about my account status, they didn't have any record of my application nor my check.

Yesterday I got the cashed check with my bank statement, E-Trade cashed my check on 3-23.

I called customer service again, still no record of anything, they've had my money for a month and now I have to prove to them I sent them a check. "Make a photo copy of the check and send it us, then we'll determine if we can give you your money back"

GOODBYE E-Trade, Good riddance. 3 strikes and you're out.

I'm happy the stock is doing well, but I guess I slipped thru the cracks.

Agree. The problem I see it is the net stocks have three types, those that make money already with impressive plans (like Yahoo), those like Etrade that supposedly are spending to grow, and the rest.

I am worried about stocks like Network Solutions. Today the press releases are out about the fact that they are going to have 5 companies competing with them (including AOL!!) and yet the stock is up 23 points.

At some point, logic needs to apply to these stocks otherwise it is no better than Vegas. Stocks like Etrade are fine, like I said it is the price action of these others that concerns me.
