Sure you aren't proposing Compaq wait to spin off AV until when the shine is OFF the net stocks or after a market correction? Compaq should have ALREADY spun AV off....time is of the essence unless you can predict the future. Remember, we have Y2K panic coming up. I'd say Compaq needs to have AV spun off by July at the latest. I see that LYCOS has now passed YAHOO in page hits followed by Excite. All these get a tremendous amount of free advertising daily on CNBC because they have stocks that trade. Compaq is an idiot keeping AV sheltered. Ted David, we need some press. Jim
