Gary, I think Dell's high PE is due to their high growth rate, which many attribute to their direct, no inventory, just in time, etc. model. Apparently, that hasn't been that easy for Dell's competitors to copy. Either that, and I suspect more the reason, is that Dell's competitors were too egotistical to copy it...until now.
