Santa Monica, California, April 21 (Bloomberg) -- Osicom Technologies Inc.'s shares soared 20 percent July 2 after the network equipment maker said a new contract to make wireless video phones was worth about $90 million.

The chief executive now says the contract to sell the phones to a Japanese company he won't identify was for only $175,000, and that the $240 devices aren't really wireless.
