Fair enough, but consider that AOL's high in 1996 was around 8, split-adjusted, and the low was, I think, 3. (The numbers for YHOO aren't as painfully engraved in my "money left on the table" file, but I think they are similar.) Even if AOL were to crash to 13-14, someone who bought at the lows would have a nice return.
