Looking for a very positive earnings surprise for Q-1 (to be reported mid June). This, coupled with the attention the industry should receive from the E-3 convention, the closing of the Games PLC buyout and soaring sales of Star Wars items (both in store and at WWW.EBWORLD.COM ) will hopefully begin to move this stock toward something more in line with the $1.11 they earned for last fiscal year and the $1.20 being called for this year by both Solomon Smith Barney and Prudential (both have re-iterated strong buys within the last 30 days). With a very conservative price multiple of 21 times, we could see $25.00+ a share by the IPO anniversary date in late July 1999. This is a 20+ year old company with very strong fundamentals with a management team that has been together and in place for many years. They hold training in high regard and have a state of the art distribution system that re-stocks there 527 stores five times a week. They are growing by an astonishing 100 stores per year. Right now they are moving their recently split off EBWORLD.COM into new headquarters in order to build the necessary infrastucture to handle the explosive growth the site has experienced (1,200% growth in 1998 with over 10M unique visits of which 3.5M occurred in December 1998.) Revenue from the site last year was in excess of $4.5M and projected to top $16M this fiscal year. Oh, and by the way, it showed a net profit for the year. I'm looking for great things from this one as the street catches on.
Good luck,
RBL
