Deerfield Beach, FL - April 20, 1999 - Stanley Priskie announced the resignation of John C. Curran as President and C.E.O. of EXA International, Inc. (ETVL) effective as of December 11, 1998, for health reasons. Priskie divulged that Curran underwent extensive reconstructive shoulder surgery on December 15, 1998 and is currently under a time-consuming physical therapy rehabilitation program that prevents him from performing his duties. "I deeply regretted John's decision and wish him a speedy recovery," said Priskie. The Board of Directors named Stanley Priskie as acting President until the next annual shareholders' meeting. Curran remains as a director of the Company. Immediately upon assuming the office of President, Priskie initiated a program to reduce operating overhead and to focus the Company's efforts on its core business of selling franchises together with the completion of the development of affiliated programs and a meaningful web site.
