Something else: this mania, such as it has been called, is incredibly stimulating to innovation and new company formation. If indeed there are any ways for a company to make money on the internet, the companies being formed now and now being traded will figure it out. So maybe this mania isn't such a bad thing if it pushes innovation really hard.
