Did they file to be authorized to issue 8M extra or sell 8M extra shares? Were the 8M shares to be used for employee stock options or for a secondary on the open market?

It makes no sense to me that IATV would dilute their stock when they just got a multi-million dollar cash infusion from LMG in September, and then another one in April... they certainly can't be cash-poor at this point, can they?

If you could point me to the news release or SEC filing that says that they are planning on selling these 8M shares in the open market, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
-Mike

The fact and reason for the current decline is the company itself. ACTV is pushing more shares into the market. You certainly remember they filed with the SEC to be authorized to sell 8M extra shares.

EDIT: You're not talking about the same 4/20/98 S-3 that I talk about in my next post, are you?

Also, why the fixed font? It's nearly impossible to read on my UNIX box at school... Netscape makes it freaking microscopic.
