If you all do not mind lets start with an anlysis of my mistakes today. I bought BII @ 15.75 & 14.25 this morning... Based on the volatility I set my stops @ 13.95 on 3/4 of my position. What happens... I get stopped out after a couple of hours. In the past I never used Stops but would set a price I want to achieve for the stock and put in a limit sell order instead. EDIT: What do you think of this idea? I agree with the idea of setting stops and changing them as the stock rises but most of these plays go through a lot of volatility before they rise. Question: 1. Can the market makers or brokers see a stop order?

thanks for your explanation on stops. Yes, shouldve got back in.....as a rookie, i didnt have the nerve, i thought, its had a nice low everyday this week, i'll get in then. I've also chased stocks before.....with my 15min delay, i usually end up buying on peaks! Next dip and im in there. thanks chief, sweetchuks
