Golin/Harris has provided public relations counsel to Bayer Aspirin
since December 1993. Our charge is to communicate the unique
value-added benefit of aspirin -- a time-tested pain reliever with the
power to save your life and attribute those benefits to the leading
branded aspirin in the category, Bayer. To that end, our work is
divided into two tiers: branded marketing communications programs
and opportunistic publicity to promote research into potential new
therapeutic uses for aspirin. Stokes Against Stroke, in its fourth
successful year, is a marquis branded program that links Bayer with
the PGA TOUR and the American Heart Association to help raise
awareness and funds for stroke research and education while
communicating aspirin's role in stroke prevention. In May, Stroke
Awareness Month, professional golfers from the PGA TOUR, Senior
PGA TOUR and LPGA TOUR who have a personal connection to
cardiovascular disease will join as Team Bayer. For every birdie they
score in the tournaments they play in May, Bayer donates $1,200 to
the AHA. To date, the program has raised more than $250,000 for
stroke research and education. To recognize aspirin's 100th

campaign last year to honor aspirin's time honored status as the gold
standard of pain relief and show that aspirin's future looks bright as
it's past. To date, more than 500 million media impressions were
