DG, i don't have exact figures, but i am 100% sure that the record downside days have been far bigger percentage-wise than the record upside days. 'the' downside record one-day plunge for the dow was a huge 22% drop in october 1987. should that record ever be broken(highly unlikely) i guess it will be yet another slide that'll take the honors. let's hope we're all short if and when it happens.knock on wood.
