I tried it for the first month this month.

My opinion is that his picks are no better than random picks of internet stocks. For example, if internet stocks increased 100% this first quarter, by following his picks (which are almost all internet stocks), you might get 100% but probably less.

His self account of performance is questionable. If you go to his site, his account almost always bought at the low point and sold at the high point. No one is that good. Where I have made money is by buying his picks immediately and selling very quickly when the other lemmings are buying.

However, let's look at how, say, Merrill Lynch works. Before they upgrade a stock, their clients are probably in already -- I will never believe that they upgrade a stock and then tell their big clients, "Hey, Bob. We just upgrade the stock. The whole world knows we upgrade the stock. The stock jumped 10%. We suggest you buy." Then they might sell or not. It doesn't matter. Whatever the case is, the fact that you can't consistently beat the market by only buying what is on the "strong buy" list of ML, GS, MSDW, or any of the investment banks says a lot.

Is TJ worse than any of the investment banks when it comes to stock recommendations for the public? In all honesty, probably not.
