MSFT at 15% below the all-time high is a solid buying opportunity IMO. It rarely falls much lower than that. I find myself wondering why those that disagree are looking at the stock at all.

While the 3Q earnings weren't the blockbuster 2Q was, it was hardly bad news. MSFT has several major products at the end of their life cycles and *still* are showing a healthy increase in revenue. This despite not claiming $400M they have already received as earnings. Talk about a solid earnings outlook...the money is already in the bank earning interest.

Y2K and DOJ are wildcards, I suppose, but don't be surprised if 3Q turns out to be the weakest quarter in the next 2 years.
