martin, A little on Germany: Population 82,079,000 As of 1997 statistics, Germany is the third(USA is first and Japan is second) largest country in terms of pharmaceutical expenditures. They accounted for $18.2 billion of the world market pharmaceutical sales. Germany along with England will keep the international product already sold to Astra flowing so that by the time the rest of Europe is ready to launch Vivus can ramp up for international production.
