in the first example:
perhaps a sam shepard production from the cherry lane;

or,
in the second:
david mamet, david rabe, caryll churchill, wendy wasserstein,
* tom stoppard*.......
why not a joseph papp produced series from any of a number of locations:
alice tully hall
or the park in summer,
or from his public theatre....

the venue in these instances
might lend itself interestingly enough to a new medium.
why not will geer's arboretum in topanga, ca hosting an appropriately environmental piece....[ think babs' "one voice"
in malibu hehe]

or..go to chicago,
second city or steppenwolf

productions with some relevance,
some modernity, some essentially personal flavor which might

i think she
would be the ideal performer for the newly digitalized milieu...

and later,
a robert wilson/philip glass premiere.

and kronos quartet,
and brian eno....

each of these artists for the new millenium..
perfect choices who
exemplify
what this will all be about.

i like these ideas best of all. <g>
