Curtis, how come Vivus went down after they reported +.03 vs -.04 last quarter. Because everyone realized they just decreased R+D spending to make the gain. IMO, they had to at the time. It is a VERY positive sign that they are comfortable with increasing R+D.

wvalx...they also said that they expect the 2nd qtr to be about the same as the first... Well yes...another $4 mill in milestone payments (Spain , France) domestic sales should be about the same and intl sales were only 1.716 mill...... Well they made 12 cents in the fisrt qtr so why do we think they will not make that much in the 2nd qtr???????? So what is Leland Wilson's definition of break even for the year?? Break even not counting milestone payments??

LISTEN ALL PESIMISTIC LONGS! Instead of pissing and moaning(Ed's term) pick up the phone tomorrow and make 2 calls. 1)Call your broker and ask for delivery of your certificates. How many of you have your certificates in hand? I bet not even 5% of you. 2)Call the NASD at 202-728-8805. Tell them that you are a share holder in Vivus stock and you are sick and tired of unfair and illegal trading practices and DEMAND an investigation to the trading practices of vivus stock. If enough of you complain they may actually do an investigation for once and for all!
