re:'There's an absence of anything we're hearing from customers that suggests a slowdown,'' he said.'

I hope something else doesn't comes along to throw water on the party. But if DELL comes through, the pool of money ready to invest in DELL will grow to an ocean. While I have sold shares in DELL to buy others stocks, DELL is still my number three holding and I own many shares, I would love for DELL and RMBS (another non-performing stock) to join my other holdings. Maybe, just maybe, IBM earnings will do it for us and Niles can take trip on the Nile and leave us alone.

Mohan, I was disappointed that Microsoft and Dell were held down today given the strong performance with the Dow. Nasdaq and internet stocks. Many of those analysts are assholes with an attitude. The great announcement by IBM could not come at a better time. I am hoping that some jerk out there does not rain on the parade that we are hoping for tomorrow. IBM's stellar earnings should light a fire under the long held back hardware companies. Dell may now be regarded with the same fever as some of the internets. We will soon see.

Best Wishes
Frank

Michael Dell once said that if Compaq fails to
flawlessly execute the assimilation of DEC that
it would be like handing us (Dell) the keys to the
kingdom.

Add finding a new CEO and CFO who will likely want to
implement sweeping changes to the agenda.

So, today, if you were a business purchasing manager
teetering on a decision between CPQ or Dell as being
you main hardware supplier, which company do ya think
would offer more stability?

Dell could see a surge in orders over the next few
quarters.
