HEY, does this mean the old Dan is back? The one with very good arguments and opinions that I almost never agree with.

Aren't we supposed to hate Slobo? Isn't that what Clinton/Albright are going for with their constant Slobo=Hitler messages?

No brees, teach the kids to be intolerant, to really hate people who have the wrong ideas.

I favor tough restrictions on ownership of some type of guns, but consider the following article as a filthy piece of propaganda garbage :

Right Wing Rhetoric Lays the Path of Destruction

St. Louis American
April 22, 1999 Editorial

A4 * THE ST. LOUIS AMERICAN * APRIL 22.28, 1999 EDITORIAL Right Wing rhetoric lays path of destruction

The blood that ran through the hallways of Columbine High School in Littleton, Col., stained more than an affluent high school tucked away in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

Some splashed on those who preach a sermon of divisiveness and hate. What is your legacy, Rush. Limbaugh? It lay silent with the victims of two young, twisted minds that went on a killing spree, targeting those they considered "different" from them. You should now be hushed just as the suicidal gunmen who terrorized their classmates and the entire country. The two youths hunted those "of color" and wanted vengeance on those who were different than them. Those that, rightly, chose not to deal with their hateful ways and pursue education, athletics and personal excellence were given death sentences.

Tragically, some young, white men hear the words of Limbaugh and other hate mongers and translate them into violent action. While people of different races were killed in the massacre, the horrifying reality is that the assailants had reduced all of them to minority status. They were different. They had to die.

"Hey, kid. You re not going to college? It s not your fault. It's that black student's fault because he got a scholarship because he's black. Never mind his grades, his effort. It s his skin color."

"Hey kid. You re a social outcast? It s not your fault that you re a frightening individual who pushes people away instead of drawing them closer. It s the athlete's fault. How dare they win games and friends?"

"Hey kid. You re getting no where in life? It's the teacher's fault. It's the principal's fault. It can't be your fault because you're a strong, white male and they are taking your right to success."

•The blood of the Columbine High School massacre also drips from the walls of the National Rifle Association's palatial estate in Northern Virginia. Its gleaming walls run red in the aftermath of an agonizing day in American history that it helped create.

For weeks, Missourians were bathed in the sick blather of Charlton Heston and other gun zealots who preached this message: "If you had a gun, you wouldn't have a problem."

We heard from a survivor of another massacre. "If I had my gun, it would have been different." We heard from a rape victim. "If I had a gun, it would have been different."

Well, two young men were engulfed by what they perceived as problems. They had guns.

The result is 15 dead and more than 24 wounded.

How many parents who own guns in Littleton, Col., are showing their children how to load and shoot this morning? How many want the guns out of their homes immediately? Would a Proposition B pass in Colorado today?

Charlton Heston should take his message of cultural division and love for the gun to this Colorado town today. He should stand up for the rights of gun-carrying Americans in this community, just as he did in St. Louis a few weeks ago. The reaction to his vitriolic poison would be furious. This is the response we must make to those who support arming ourselves instead of working together. We must counter opinions that preach hate and violence.

We must tune out the message of Rush Limbaugh and other conservatives who want ‘an America that only supports their point of view. We must raise as one voice and tell them, "stop.this." "You are destroying young minds and leading them down a path of destruction." "You are not protecting or saving the United States of America."

"You are ripping it to blood-stained shreds."
